VIDEOBRASIL ONLINE

Videobrasil Online is the digital exhibition platform of Associação Cultural Videobrasil, created to expand the reach of works in video and offer new ways of accessing this repertoire. In addition to presenting pieces from the collection, the platform provides complementary materials, interviews, and documents that shed light on each work’s genealogy.

In this special edition, it presents Método básico de assovio gomero-tupi (Basic method of Gomero-Tupi whistling), from the series Turista transcendental (Transcendental Tourist), by Rosângela Rennó. The film had its pre-premiere on September 11 with a large-scale projection on the façade of MAC USP, as part of the Videobrasil Open Air program — a performative gesture that brought video into public space — and is now available online free of charge for one month, accompanied by the artist’s own commentary and supporting texts.
